As a part of Kimia Farma Group, PT Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution (KFTD)‘s certification of ISO 37001:2016 has further emboldened the company’s mission to create a clean and corruption-free work environment. Implementing the principle in all its departments, PT Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution (KFTD) strives to eliminate any possibilities of corruption and bribery acts.

How is the Anti-Bribery Management System is Implemented?

KFTD’s bribery prevention system is based on the thorough application of Sistem Manajemen Anti-Penyuapan or Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP). The ISO 37001:2016 certification proves that the company is determined to apply the system as an inseparable part of the company’s work culture.

The application of SMAP consists of several important steps, which include:

1. Socialization Program for All Employees

KFTD ensures that every employee and leader understands the definition of bribery and corruption at the workplace, along with their examples. It helps employees recognize misconduct from those categories, which could encourage them to make a report. Recognizing misconducts also improves  the quality of internal observation and auditing.

2. Proper Reporting

After recognizing any act of corruption and bribery, employees at KFTD need to report them through the designated channel. KFTD provides the channel through a special unit that deals with corruption reports.

3. Quick and Thorough Response

Once an employee reports suspicious behaviors, the responding unit will respond with quick, thorough steps. It involves investigations on the paper trail, cross-checking witnesses, and other detailed strategies. The unit also ensures the anonymity of the person reporting and ensures the investigation is done as soon as possible.

These steps are required in KFTD’s efforts to reduce bribery and corruption. Once all the strategies are done, the company will use the results for review and evaluation to improve its performance.

KFTD’s ISO 37001:2016 certification is proof of its commitment to applying Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles in all its departments. Through the proper application of the Anti-Bribery Management System, the company is ready to create a healthy, transparent work environment free of corruption.
